Sounds high to me too, but that's why I was asking.
Car has a clean carfax and I don't think it was ever in an accident. It does show some slight evidence of paint touch-up (I saw an edge when I replaced the window weather stripping), but after all it is black so everything shows. Maybe at some point in its life the door was keyed.
I don't have 100% of the service records as I did a lot of the wrenching myself, but I do have the a copy of the original title and a lot of the records as well as Pelican (and other) part receipts.
The dash was cracked, but was recovered by the great Classic 9 Leather Shop (Robert Budd & his crew of true pros). The interior leather & vinyl is in very good condition, but the headliner around the sunroof shows some wear.
The car had some mods (euro premuffler, Dansk 1-in-2-out muffler, Steve Wong chip, lowered to euro ride height & bump steer kit installed by Powertech, a CDR220 radio replacing the original Blaupunkt, new speakers installed under stock replacement speaker grilles, the original dealer-installed radio telephone removed, and bumperettes taken off the back) but I kept all the original parts and I'm putting the stock muffler and bumperettes back on if I sell it. It still rides on the original 16" wheels, but with new rubber.
Oh, and it also has the full original tool kit, the Porsche air compressor, and the pouch with the original service booklet and an owners manual.
So......maybe I keep it, maybe I don't and move on to a 930 or 993 or an older 911 or ......
Decisions, decisions......
Btw, as I've gotten older (and my reflexes have slowed) I like working on cars more than driving them, and there's not anything that this car needs, so maybe I do need to move on to my next project.....
