You're absolutely right. I just spent four days driving a Cayenne S around Denmark on a magazine assignment, and after about two hours, I got accustomed to it and felt like I was driving a tall GT car of some sort. I sure don't want a truck, but if I did, this is the one I'd get. And I'd get an S. Anybody who pays $30,000 extra for the Turbo is simply signing on as a voluntary service tester for that engine, which is the only reason Porsche put it into the SUV--to get real-world mileage on it. It's intended for a near-future performance car. Anybody who wants more performance in a truck than the S offers is foolish.
