These days a car like this is worth saving but it won't be a money maker. It would be a labor of love which will have you upside down for 5-10 years until the sales prices catch up to what you spent. 356s were like that for years.
Some brave souls took them on and were justly rewarded. A bunch of other 356s were crushed or cut up to save others, many of which would be restored in the current market.
