So today I pulled the trigger on a new steering wheel

I'd hummed and hawed over the Prototipo, the Monte Carlo and the Mod 07

Prototipo -- obviously going to work, a bit typical, would need a spacer

Monte Carlo -- feels great, not as sharp a look, pretty period 80s - that's a plus and a minus

Mod 07 - love the dish, hate the yellow.

So after holding them in the car for an hour went Mod 07.

WOW -- I LOVE IT. The install was fun and quick (needed a nearby shop to impact wrench the steering bolt) and I just electrical taped the new connector to the spade - so far so good. I don't love soldering.
The turn signal cancels almost exactly the same spot and the splines lined up exactly for a dead on alignment.

And the yellow - - this was something I figured I could just take off with brake cleaner and then figure out the stripe later. Turns out I really like it. Like a lot.
I trusted my child brain on the wheel and am so glad I did.

Feels good in the hand and suits my legs and seating position very well.
