Haha - you opened that before taking a leak? WTF? By the time she gets the key, you are done!
That is totally unacceptable behavior by the nurse. I would have likely lost my temper right there, but even in hind sight, I would get her name and formally complain to the business owner. It isn't an auto repair shop that you can easily leave for another one, but having an ahole employee like that is in nobody's interest. Who knows, her supervisor may already have her on a performance improvement plan and this could be the last straw they have been waiting for to can her!
The right thing to do for the nurse is to wait for you to leave the restroom and tell you "sir, sorry, just a heads up, this bathroom is not for patients, you probably didn't see the sign. I know you will be back with your bad shoulder, so next time please use the restroom down the hallway, you want me to show it to you ..."
