it is, sort of (per national bldg code):

M1502.4.3 Transition duct. Transition ducts used to connect
the dryer to the exhaust duct system shall be a single
length that is listed and labeled in accordance with UL
2158A.


25 foot max, unless specified otherwise by dryer mfg. Deduct 5' each for std 90's, less for sweeps depending on radius.

So a run with three 90's can only have 10' of pipe.
