I checked fault codes and it read Fc 19 83 84 which was Table 19 of the codes: 83-Timeout, CAN-INSTR 2 and 84-Timeout, CAN-INSTR 3. I found that CAN stands for Controlled Area Network but cannot find anymore information beyond that.
I went further to remove the ignition switch and checked for any obvious damage and checked for continuity. This was what I found:
Pin OFF ON IGN Pin OFF ON IGN Pin
1 X 5 8
2 X X 6 X 9
3 X 7 X 10
@ "ON" position contacts 2-6 are connected; @ "IGN" position contacts 2-6-9 are connected, 3-7-10 are connected, and 1-5 are connected.
After reassembly of ignition switch, I started car again but instrument cluster was still dead and I noticed that the radio did not power up anymore. Everything else works including the light that illuminates the instrument panel.
I re-checked the alternator output voltage with load and all fuses inside the globe box including the hidden high-amp fuses plus the fuses inside the eBox; all were passing voltages through them.
I ordered a new ignition switch (just in case); will install when received.
