Hi Guys,
my '69 912 has come fitted with 5 gauges, with the 2nd gauge in from the left having a temp gauge on the left and a oil pressure gauge on the right.
my mechanic has told me this are 911 gauges and were not original on 912's, thus there is no way of getting an oil pressure measurement on the 912 engine, just a light that goes out on ignition. Is this true?
more importantly I can't get my temp gauge working, I know the usual 912 temp gauge is on the top of a dial and goes from left to right. is it possible to get a sender and gauge that will fit my "upright " dial and my engine??
my sender and gauge at present seem not to be compatible, with my temp gauge shooting up to the top when I connect it up.
Your advice, as ever is appreciated.
