Don't know anything about the B36 but makes sense the thing would want to run hot. Had a couple of engine fires with the 4360. One was induction system (not advanced) fire. Scary! One accessory section fire from a failed generator . There were others. But in most cases in my experiences, the engine would just sheet itself anytime it felt a need and that was often. I was never a big Wright engine fan. The Wright R1820 however, is one of the best.
