So (contrary to my username) I'm thinking of selling one of our projects. It's an '87 930 in Venetion Blue Metallic/F8. Numbers matching, non- running car. Needs front fenders, f&r bumpers, rear deck lid / spoiler + more. Overall a very clean non damaged car BUT it does have a salvage title ONLY because it was abandoned by the owner. The guy put a ton of money into this car and an unscrupulous shop owner took advantage of him. He got so discouraged he just left it at the shop. Bob Hindson Racing (Kansas City) acquired the car (they WERE NOT the shop that shafted the poor guy) and went through the process of getting the title. When it was issued, Missouri branded it as Salvage because it was abandoned, even though it's mostly complete and damage free. Motor is apart and Aaron (BHR's owner) can build it for a very fair price. Aaron built the motor in our '86 930 and it is a work of art and speed. Anyways, my question to the brain trust is this; would I be better off selling as a package deal or parting out piece by piece? My main consideration here is ROI. IF there were a way to legally wash the title it could be very valuable. I have the car & title and it's still located in Kansas City.
