One year update with the Panasonic. I use it practically every weekday and have progressed to using it IN MY CAR! No worries, I fire it up on the red lights when sitting there for a minute. It takes 2-3 minutes for a clean shave and can handle my beard very well. People at work ask me if I had a rought night if I skip the shave - I use it that often ...

It cleans up with two passes easy. Around the neck I suffer from old geezer neck that needs to be stretched with one hand to ensure a close shave, otherwise you have half-blind old geezer neck hair left. Very unsightly.

I had imagined I'll need a close wet shave to clean up every few days but not necessary. My skin was a bit irritated for the first weeks and I used an aftershave but now it takes it dry, no issue. I don't like aftershaves - too stinky.

I have used the shaver wet and it is very nice. If I was a morning shower guy, I'd use it there. But I take my showers usually during the day or at night after exercise.

One thing I did was buy the cleaning station. That's a total waste of money and space. It is cheaply made, needs expensive refills and makes a ton of noise for 2h doing its thing. Some liquid soap, a good rinse with the razor going and the same thing is achieved in 30s plus a couple hours air dry.

Last tip is to buy a new foil blade at about 6 months. I am tight, so I waited a year. The difference old to new was phenomenal. I did not realize how much it had degraded over a year.
