As to the question of just the receivers, if that is the part with the serial number, I.E. an AR-15 commercial one and NOT an 80% one you made yourself then if is the same as a fire arm. A FFL has to be used to get it when crossing state lines. YOU can ship it and when I sold the AR-15's and other rifles before using muzzle loaders exclusively then the person on the other end has to have a valid FFL license. There has to be a copy of it with the package also!

As far as barrels, sights, mags, stocks, etc then they are no big deal as they do not constitute a fire arm in the eyes of BATF/E. If these are 80% lowers you machined and assembled yourself then you have to accompany them on your journey. They can NOT be shipped or sold according to my FFL and Don has doing this a long time.
