Liability insurance, use to be optional here. (it is state by state choice)
"Mandatory" just give the insurance companies free-reign to raise rates. People
still drive without, so you are still are smart to carry "uninsured motorist" coverage.
So what good did more laws do us? . . .more cost, more paperwork (another card to carry, too) more "law", more tickets . . ..and absolutly zero increase in puplic safety. . . .but at least it cost us more, and we
feel better about it all.
