I broke one or two but eventually got to where I could install them successfully. In some cases the pad slot is too small or has too much paint on it and needs to be relieved. One pad usually wears more than the other so you can practice on the less important pad, or stub them and stay way ahead on maintenance. I'd be a shame to find you are down to metal at the top of a mountain some day.
