I have a complete and running 1975 2.7 engine that I'm thinking of selling. The motor runs great and is in my '75 Targa however I recently found a freshly rebuilt 3.0 for sale. Rather than mess round with resealing and hotrodding the 2.7, I figure I can save the effort and simply drop in a fresh 3.0.

What's this worth? I'm thinking $4K for the complete motor including CIS and exhaust (plug and play).



My 2.7 is fully stock with CIS and runs great. It must have been rebuilt at some point as it seems to run too well to be original. If it's original it should have 110K miles as this is the original engine for my car. It leaks oil from all of the typical places so it'll need to be cleaned up and resealed. It has a later style fan (not the 5-blade version) and has Bursch headers and an OEM 2 in 1 out exhaust.

It's still in the car and I intend to leave it in until someone commits to buying it. This way someone can drive the car to test the motor.
