Gerry is a well known 4-cam expert and the shop did all types of mechanical work and some body shop work for a short period.
I dealt with Gerry for over 15 years for both 4-cam and general mechanical work and never had any problems. Some of the rarest 4-cam and other Porsche's in the world would be sent to Gerry's KAM Motorsports for work by major collectors.
So lets not confuse Jerry in CA from Gerry, the father, in CT as he is retired and has no involvement with any business in CA.

Gerry McCarthy Sr. is no joy to deal with, he threatened several time to sue me for spreading the word about his son's dishonest business.
Apparently Gerry Sr. didn't like the fact I posted a warning on the 356 Registry about his son. I made it very clear it was Jerry Jr. NOT Gerry Sr. that was the problem, yet his old man repeatedly threatened to send his lawyers after me.
I assume Gerry Sr. believed it was more important to protect his family reputation on the 356 Registry than have fellow Registry members to be forewarned of the serious problems, lies and theft that his son was inflicting on a Registry member. All the worse since his son had scheduled another 356 registry member to have his car worked on. That member was however warned in time and never brought is car to Jerry based on my warning.
At anyrate Jerry Jr is still on the run, stole my parts, damaged my cars and made off with my money for work he either never performed or did so poorly it actually caused more work to have it repaired than before he got his slimy mitts on my cars.
Watch out for Jerry McCarthy Jr. and I don't at all care for his old mans tactics of protecting his son by threatening to silence me, preventing other 356 owners form being warned. Real class act the McCarthy clan is. (NOT)

Anyway I figured I'd bump this post as Jerry Jr.'s last contact to me was a taunting email. He is still out there and in all likelihood still dealing with 356's and 914's someplace in a crooked way.
