What is the deal with the prices of super cars from the late 80s? I own an 1987 Porsche 930 which I would give a grade of B or B+. Hagerty's valuation tools indicate that in the past year the price has risen sharply to over 100,000. The prices for other Porsche models from 87 are mostly flat.

The Ferrari 308 and Testarossa have a similar steep rise in price as does the Countach.

I'm a little nervous driving the car knowing it is worth twice what I thought it was. I know asking and getting are 2 different things. Are cars like mine really selling for this amount?

Is this just a freakish trend that will correct itself soon or should I consider raising the insurance value on the car. Are these prices here to stay?
