The usual checks. Cap and rotor, coil wire, ignition wires, spark check (it has to be able to jump 10 mm or more).

It does not really matter if you replaced parts in the past except I suppose it might mean that a part you replaced (like the cap or rotor) has now come loose.

It'd be weird to get bad gas at a Shell station but that could have happened so you can try some dry gas additive but since it seems load dependent it sounds more like ignition.
