I tried HID in my '84 944 NA. I got some from eBay - Cheap. I thought I did some quality research in order to solve the dim headlight issue common to older 944s. The kit I got looked good, well packaged, and of decent quality I thought. I installed them correctly. OMG! What a mess! Light beams came out like a disco ball on acid! Returned them fast and got a refund. I replaced the Sylvania silvers with Wagner Lite Brites and they really helped a lot. After reading a bunch more, I'm thinking Hellas are the way to go for me.
