In my experience, there are only five possible causes for marker light failure:

1) blown fuses or bulbs;
2) corroded sockets or connector springs;
3) corroded or missing ground connections;
4) disconnected wiring harness fittings under the dash; or
5) bad/loose turn-signal relay.

I'm betting that corrosion caused by water spray over the years is the culprit. Remove the bulbs and thoroughly clean the sockets and connector springs as well as the ground connections. This should solve your problem.
