I just bought a 67000 mi 2001 S new tires ,also a clutch at 55000.Seal grey on black. (Loaded car with factory m030 and about 10k in options on window sticker). Small dealer had no records but I found the books and window sticker and some records hidden behind the spare. Clean title but carfax shows a minor accident no airbag deployment rear ender.
$9300 in Florida. Everything works I,m doing the IMS myself in the next month or so. . I sold my high mile 993 for about 4 x what I have in this cheap/budget replacement. Prices are low because everyone is scared of the IMS bearing . I don,t really care as I am replacing it and then will drive it into the ground. If will probably part it out after I am done with it. I see huge value as a great driver ,not a collector car.
