To me it appears to be a bunch of very wealthy and very clever speculators who know they are paying a great deal more than what the car is worth, but fully expect the next fool to pay even more.
When they were buying 930s for $80k, people said they were crazy.
now they're selling 930s for $250k.

BTW you can look the car over, hear it run, talk to the seller, talk to the mechanic, study books and books of receipts.
if you can't tell what a car is about after all that you should be buying a prius instead.
