They'll never admit it but I'm told a lot of companies will do this now especially for "suspect" vehicles (like expensive sports cars).

They would have been barking up the wrong tree, as I was hit by an SUV coming across the road bass ackwards. It was a strange accident. The only inconvenient part about the whole ordeal was that I did not have rental coverage on my policy so I preemptively bought a beater, on the strong chance that they would total the 911.
