i am in the same boat, not familiar with dansk but have a bursch exaust and i also notice that aftaer i adjust my carbs it sounds lower and sounds terrific, but when they are really out of whack... it sounds like i have a very restrictive muffler. i like my set-up but aggree that FI might be a better option for getting that low clean note.
