I'm just finishing the interior of my build. After several adhesive and glue missteps I settled for 3M 08090 Super Trim Adhesive for EVERYTHING. Stays really sticky for a long time so you can take your time to adjust, reposition and tighten. I found 3M 08088 to be lousy stuff, aka no sticky, perticularly for stiff square weave carpet. Nozzle is quite direct and for tight spots around the headliner I sprayed adhesive into a small container and applied with small brush. 3M cleaner works well too.
