Posting in this section is just fine. Did you purchase the flywheel from us? If you're unsure what you bought, are you able to find a part number on it? With BMW is usually pretty hard to put the wrong part on the car, i.e. it not mounting up properly. The one below is for a '91 318is. It's the same one for all E30 '91'-92 318's, Z3 1.9L, and all E36 318's. (Counted 112, might want to count yourself).
