For most owners the emissions are secondary. Easy to say the customers should not worry about it if you don't own one of these.
I had planned to own mine for 15 years and I have kept spotless and carefully maintained. Now I may have to sell it back, if I want to or not. Or have it sliced open by some VW wrench to detune and diminish fuel economy and possibly reliability.
If I want out of it, I can only sell it for 70% of what it was worth before the scandal broke.
I have to listen to stupid jokes certainly weekly if not daily and the whole experience has soured me on VW and even buying a new vehicle ...
VW better be paying a pretty penny to make me whole, otherwise one of the 25 lemon lawyers that has written me will be happy to take my case ... individually, not in a class action.
Seeing how VW execs are handling this makes me even more mad. What a bunch of douchebags ...
