Spark plugs and Spark plug wire

On a modified 1978 930, what are the best spark plugs and spark plug wire for it? From what I read it looks like the Bosch WR6DPO to be the number one contender but I rather go with a Iridium spark plug, they seem to have better review and performance. As of the spark plug wire, the Magnecor seem to have a lot of BUzz but should we go for it? Are my braided wire better or lesser performance? A thought what about keeping my braided wire and just changing the spark plug connectors? How often are the spark plug wire suppose to be change or can you keep it as long as it is doing a good job?

I've got the Magnecor wires and have no big complaints, but did have a protective rubber boot fall off the number 6 plug connector. Still seems to work properly.

I think Clewitt Racing has a good set of plugs as well. Maybe even better.

I have magnecores on my landrover, and clewitts on the 930. I think both are very good. The clewitts have a very good connector, seal very well around the sparkplug holes, and the wire casing seems very durable. I had several of the magnecore wires fail due to heat on the LR, but not sure if that was fault of the wire or the truck!

For price alone, I'd go with either over OEM.

I think the Clewett wires are Magnacore's with his heat wrap. If you get them from Richard, ask for the stainless connectors - I bought a set from him and mine corroded which increased the resistance three fold.

A nice recent set of origonal wires were in my car when I bought it and I found a new set of Magnacores for sale here for $100.
I bought them and I like how they look better. Can't tell any difference in how it runs, but I like them.

I used some "Mr Gasket" plain black wire seperators to keep them nicely organized.

The rubber air seal that slides onto the spark plug connectors and seals the hole in the valve cover are way better quality and made of thicker runbber on the origonal wires so they don't warp and leak cooling air.
I switched those over to the magnacores.
You pull off the big rubber seal on the end to change them over.

I actually like the seal of of the clewitts over the factory, as the clewitts have a nice thick "plug" that slides into the hole and fits flush, as opposed to laying over the top. I've never seen anything like it , very nice. I was very impressed with them.

Anyway, I'm sure they all work fine, just personal preference i guess.

Among many possibilities: NGK BP8ES's, Bosch W4CS. But I do not track, 99% highway and long country roads.

I was thinking of making my spark plug wire with high quality 11MM to the correct lenght and get really high quality connectors and booth. What do you guys think as far as performance and more sparks?
