2.7 turbo?

I apologies if this subject has been dealt with before, but a search in the turbo forum, and regular forum came up with nothing. I have a 76 with a 2.7 I just freshened up, and it worked out really well. I really like the 2.7, and I have a spare 2.7 that I would love to take apart, and also rebuild. Has anyone lowered the compression on a 2.7 and put a turbo on it. Finding a 3.0 would be great, but I cant find one that I can afford. I know you will say that a 2.7 will be more expensive to turbo, but I already have it, and I can slowly get it together as funds become avail. It is just a thought, so what do you guys think

Ah, maybe it doesn't like nimbers. Many times I search for stuff and come up empty handed. Thanks for the additional thread, and advice
