Thanks, been a long month for work, so the car has been on the back burner. Heading your way this week, where in Tampa are you?

Is the Grand Prix this weekend? Maybe I can make a call and see if I have any connections for pit passes left..... Last edited by IMR-Merlin; 03-19-2012 at 02:12 PM.. |

My friend Tony used to have a condo that overlooked the airfield and you could see the race track from his balcony too. Now I know why plane tickets were so pricy for that weekend.... ![]()

Oh cool! I live about 15 mins from Ybor. Was your friend Tony staying at the Signature? The Grand prix from up above is just insane!! I have a few photos from 2010. Most of it got rained out that Sunday.

Yes, I am pretty sure that is his place. There was a pool on the roof as well ( probably on all the roofs though ). Although, it might have been the building behind you in that pic.

Back on topic!
Gorgeous car, with beautiful craftsmanship. Keep it up! What year is it? Looks like '83 or '84? What's the paint color? So often the amount of hours put into something like this goes unnoticed. Just wanted to say I can appreciate the many hours you have in this car. I like to think I can at any rate..... ![]() Wheels look slick too...... |

Not sure what the factory color was. The color on the car was a re-spray pre-1989 when the PO had it delivered into the US, the factory color was charcoal looking but a bit lighter than what you can see. I am leaning in 2 different directions. The factory charcoal or a matte blue similar to the Harley Denim Blue. Maybe I will have a poll on paint as I get closer to completion. Regards, Brendon |

Got some time in the shop today, nothing special to post for pics, but I finally got the car off of the rotisserie and all the mounting brackets off the car. Just a small step, but in the right direction.

Subscribed. I used to think that I was mechanically inclined until I read this thread.
Great work - you've obviously been at this a while.

Yes, there was one on the car when I bought it. Although I am not running A/C so I will be looking to modify the sheet metal in the front of the car and I will also box the cooler in from the bumper side to force more air through it.
