The base is silver in color. I removed everything and sandblasted the base. Then I painted it with black trim paint. I used the rubber boot that is under the leather boot. I cut the rubber boot to my desired length(I used one of the creases on the rubber boot to guide the knife). Reason I used the rubber boot was to keep thing from falling into the space left by the boot being removed. |

Should take(for a beginner like me) about two hours(shifter that is). The hardest part was removing the console, but in truth it should have taken less time. I realized later on that I didn't need to remove the console just needed to move it out of the way. I did not do the coupler. The one on my car was in excellent condition and as per Wevo it was only an option on my part. So I opted to leave it alone. The shifter made a difference...well worth it.
