Everyone has their own opinion and I really liked the way the bumpers look. The seats matched perfectly just need to know how to take the picture I sent out a piece of leather off the stock seat and the company did a great job of matching it.

Beautiful car. The way I see it is the more these cars go up in value or the more that people are willing to pay for them the better it is for the rest of us 930 owners so I hope he gets every bit of the $$$$$. IMHO.

Can't speak for others but it was the whole "Baby", "she", "her", "biggest mistake ever" thing that seemed silly to me.

Dude, if you view this as your biggest mistake ever you've lived a very pampered life.

Should I be more upset over the 93 RS America I sold, or the 94 Speedster which was stolen, or the 90 e30 M3 which I bought new and sold, or the 97 C2S with hard back sports seats I sold, or the 89 RUF modded Turbo, or any of the other dozen or so cars I sold at prices which are now cheapover the last 20years?

Or maybe just not think much about it and figure out what I should be looking for next?

That yellow 89 930 is a prime candidate to return at least the body to stock and keep it!

Thats a nice 930 you had in a nice color. I remeber your threads when you did the conversion. To each his own, I like the stock look better but thats just my 2 cents. I am with you, if you wanted it back you could have bought it, it kind of sucks to see it but oh well.

Were those real Speedlines? If not who made those?

Thanks!

Slight threadjack, but have you guys seen the annual buyer's guide in Excellence? I just received it in the mail this past week. Have 930s really jumped in value so much these past couple years? Has our economy recovered so robustly that these are $40-60K cars now?

Beautiful car, BTW, Bman. Just enough touches of the 965 to take the couple frumpy parts out of the 930, while still maintaining the better looks of the older car. I'm a big fan of the RH 3.6 wheels; I think they actually look better than the OEM Speedlines, as the offset has been maximized for deeper dish.

Thanks guys. They are RH wheels not Speedline wheels. They didn't make those in the 930 offset. I also put a set on my 965 Turbo and yes the 930 offset does give a much deeper lip.

Looks like it sold. I wonder what the final price was?

Beautiful Porsche!

Maybe just the way I read it, but I thought the dealership selling the car wasn't entirely crystal clear about that little fact. Not that RH wheels are cheapo stuff.

I saw that too but he did state lower in the ad 3.6 style wheels. I think I paid right around $5K wheels and tires.

I remember your car well from back in the day, always dug it for what it was - a cool motif that maybe I wouldn't necessarily have done that way but very good looking nonetheless, and that color always resonated with me.

I also remember your selling it. Prob right about the time I sold mine.

Difference is, mine distress sold back to me, fell out of sky when I wasn't even thinking about it. In retrospect, I'm very much fortunate and giddy as I too lamented its sale. Won't say regret as I don't believe in regret, but surely lamented. Sale made sense at the time. Repurchase made even more sense.

I agree, 60large is laughable for that car IMO. However, not dissin the sale as it very much bolsters our overall market - which rules!

I along with others, Tony Voiture, etc. keep on saying the 930s will hit the moon shortly. Look at longhood trend... I suspect... no... expect... 930 market will trend verymuch the same course and in short order.

Lastly, I've not been too active here lately since getting mine back - and - it's a bit unsettling to see all the negative posts here. I didn't get the sense you were crying in your panties etc. Geesh lighten up folks. Dude just misses his car, and laments (yes laments) its recent higher priced sale.

I get it 8-)

Coupla yousezez should def get the memo tho... we're historically a really tight knit camaraderiously awesome group here and support one another till the end, always. Never any negativity. Seeing it here is somewhat shocking honestly. If the shoe fits, wear it. If not, move along.

Not sure if I want to jump in here or not with my first PP post… but that is one tremendous looking car and I can understand BMAN's position. As I was reading I thought the responses were a little all over the place for a guy that was aching a bit.

The secondary issue that seems to be trending towards a primary issue is price. Most seem to think the asking price was too high. Agreed. Anybody care to stick it out there and say what the car is worth?

Not that it matters a much as I bought the car for what it did to the id when I saw it and more so when I drove it (Sorry, BMAN, by no means trying to rub salt). Yep, paid too much and I cringe when I think about it, but these are fantastic cars that don't last long once listed for sale. This one was just too nice to pass up even with the tasty conversion perversion package…

As a consolation prize, the dealer told me just this past Saturday he got a full asking price offer while our deal was in the works and so, like BMAN, he is also bumming. My dim witted crystal ball says these cars are going to do nothing but go up in value while remaining a riot to drive. And I know for a fact that at least half of that previous sentence is true… To the 930 (and the 930/64)

BMAN, I've always wondered. Why did you sell this car for the 965? What didn't you like about the 965 that made you sell it for a 930? How does this 930 compare to your current 930?
