Folks-
I posted a slightly different version of this question before, but as i am restoring my 78 911 i am running into an issue with a worn part. I have called Pelican and they say it is not made anymore, so Im at a bit of a loss. None at DC automotive seems to know anything either. here are two pics: The plastic piece that is worn is mine and the other is a stock photo i took form this forum.
As you can see they appear to be different parts and What i need is the plastic bit or confirmation that porsche stopped making plastic version and that the metal one will work. also if there is a name for the part id appreciate it. I struggling with finding it on the parts diagram.
