Garage
Post

Yea sounds very rich... that is what's making it die it is flooding out, next time this happens when the car is stalled and you try to start it push the gas all the way to the floor and hold it there untill it starts this will let alot of air in and let the gas evaporate much quicker. Sound like you got trash in the carb. time to rebuild it and change the filter too. Holding the gas all the way to the floor will not only let more air in it also acts like a vacumm and pushes all the extra gas out of the cylinders and through the exhaust and alows the car to start. Change plugs, filter and rebuild carb. that should solve your problem. good luck
