He having the stone cleaned and grout repaired, so there's a few bucks there. calcification or water had worn out the stone and its no longer polished maybe dull looking? The come out and re-polish the stone and fix you up. I am only assume that's where the bulk of the money goes and not just smear some sealer on the stone or grout joint.
