Tile guys - Caponi Sealer?

Having the shower stone tile cleaned and grout repaired. One option is a Caponi titanium grout sealer that seems pretty pricey at $550 for a 4x3 shower. (Floor and walls, I think) Is it worth the cost?
Thanks!

I bought grout sealer at the tile store. Forget the price, but it was a decent amount for a pint or quart. I applied it myself using a rag wetted with the sealer and followed up with a dry rag to wipe off the extra from the surrounding tile. One bottle does a lot. I can't imagine paying $550 for sealer for one shower. Last time I used it was maybe five years ago. Haven't had a problem since.

He having the stone cleaned and grout repaired, so there's a few bucks there. calcification or water had worn out the stone and its no longer polished maybe dull looking? The come out and re-polish the stone and fix you up. I am only assume that's where the bulk of the money goes and not just smear some sealer on the stone or grout joint.

In that case, $550 doesn't sound bad. I took it as the sealer by itself costing that much.

Marv, I actually don't know but judging by the price and what the op described and base on my own experience, it doesn't sound bad. Out here, it would have cost him 8-900 bucks, depending on the size of the shower.

Sometimes certain stone get pitted over time with just simple water, so it must be filled and resurfaced to achieve that clean stone look again. Not cheap.

Thanks for the responses, guys. To clarify, the $550 was just for the sealer. The overall job of cleaning and repairing the grout was $1050. The shower is only 2 years old, so isn't all that dirty, but does need the grout repaired in the corners where it has cracked. It is also supposed to have a 10 yr warranty if you use their maintenance kits.

I think I'd go through the old, time honored routine of getting at least three different bids and proposals to fix it. For a total of $1,600, seems like they are charging for one or two repairs within the ten year period. I'd concentrate on getting the gout in the corners fixed & just clean & do a normal reseal on the rest if you want. If it's only two years old, seems like the original installer should step up to the plate & fix it. It should hold up for a long time before needing any kind of attention.

Go to a tile store and get the caulking that's the same color as the grout and use that on the corners. All grout corner split up, just very little doe the the fact that grout is rigid. Caulking is flexible.
