1970 911 E Serial numbers
I have come across three 911's sitting in a yard. The one I'm really interested in has a serial #911021----, this would make it a 1970 911E Targa. It does have the 2.2 Liter still in it, but missing the injection, now webbers.
My question is; The 911 T, E and S had engine serial number to match the model, but I'm a little uncertain about what the sequence of motor serial number should be from the internet sites. Does anyone know for certain? When I look at the car again on Sunday, I would like to determine if it has a matching E motor.
Also, one coupe was manufactured 10/1973 and sold in 1974. It has had body modifications to 911sc spec's. With this build date could this car have been a late long hood model? Serial #9114100802
