rkulina: JR is the Master on this stuff, so this is just additive to his post. The serial number on the 1970 indicates 1970 Targa E, but you need to post the engine serial number - should start with 620XXXX. Manual Trans 911/01 or Sporto 905/20.
Also suggest you look at 911 E registry if you have an E. Tons of info there, you can get a fair idea if engine and vin are matching - not exact.
