I have a Handy just like what Dean has posted. I bought mine used with the side extensions and that lets me put my ride'em lawnmower on.
I can use the BMW rear stand without the extensions on my R12's, but it will scratch up the deck of the lift. I prefer to use a Pit Bull with wheels, but I need to use the extensions. Pit Bull is the one that arcs to the front of the bike.
I was originally concerned about the air cylinder lifts, would prefer hydraulic, but in 20 years of use, it has not been a concern.
If I was to buy a new stand I would definitely get one with the removable section so rear wheel removal is easier.
A buddy has one of the cheaper lifts with the foot pump to lift the bike and hates it.....too much pumping, but does not need an air source if that is a concern for you??
Cheers
