Well, she breathed better!
Go figure, after having 30 years of carbon stuck in your throat, you would cut down on the pipe too sir. You could tell that there was a clear passage to the muffler & that the car felt just a little peppier. It wasn't that it picked up all this horse power, none that I could notice, it was more about how happier it was to use what power it had.
The sound didn't change all that much but it was an improvement. Not loud but just a little jump.
Yes, there was weight savings, the old pipe weighed a lot for the size, full of crud.
Money well spent but the damage was done, slippery slope indeed.
