Ended up taking the plunge, none of this was "off the shelf from pep boys" but thought it best to go custom. The 964 lump was noticeable & I hated the search.Off you go to Cali.
Ladies & Gents, its everything-its cracked up to be. What we must remember here is that you are not going to take a 200 HP car & turn it to 300HP tire burning monster, not with the mods I am doing, that's not the goal. There were more horses there & when I say there, they are now "there". Has anyone seen the CIC where our friend Jerry has his own 72 rs, I think he takes out Seth Myers? Well, he has a "S eating grin" on his face in a shot or two. I know that grin, thanks to Steve. The throttle response is not snap neck but Its alive. You feel the car & the car feels you. We are not a 30 year old engine any more.
The first time I drove it my though was " now we have a race car!"
