My guess on why it hasn't sold is it looks like he did a wonderful build with both track and street use in mind, except he went more towards track when it came to cosmetics. The stripped interior and bare paint job does not appeal to the boy racer who will pay good money for a car like this. A guy like that wants a fairly complete interior but with some very racing GT looking seats and a nice paint job.
I'm not bashing the car, I think it looks great but $45,000 is a lot of money for a car, even a well built 911 and it's a bit too naked of a build to appeal to a lot of the potential buyers of a car like this. Most want the look, not the actual car.
