It's kind of like when all the Harley guys go out and buy the hard tail custom and then a year later get a soft tail, because as cool as a hard tail is with the big loud pipes, it isn't much fun to cruise around in with every bump hitting you in the kidneys. I think these hardcore track cars are the same thing, real cool to think about, easy to get carried away when you're building it, but probably not much fun to actually take to cars and coffee. Personally I've only been buying cars with back seats, I have two little kids and I can only fit one in the Roadster and if you can't take the whole family to get ice cream, you don't get to drive it as much.

Also, anyone who has ever built a dedicated track car knows you don't get anywhere near as much when you sell it as what you put in, just check the race car section of ebay, guys shed thousands when they sell, so saying this guy's asking price is worth it for the motor, only appeals to someone who wants to send $45,000 for a motor.
