I should have addressed answering question about price. One wheel has curbing. Easy to repair BUT not so easy to match the finish of the other wheels. Usually they fix the one and then polish all the wheels to match. I personally like the all painted look, with the brushed look second.
These are clearly overpriced at $5500. For that I would expect pristine new in boxes.. and consider it a premium price at that. About a year ago I sold a set of 8+10s refinished by Al Reed for $3500. They still needed work as Al screwed the paint match up. My friend who bought them was aware and may have brought them to Al to get them to the 100% they should have been. Had I been trying for maximum $$$ they would have been sold perfect in the first place and not to a friend..and $4-4500. That's my opinion.
Good used- like the ones presented $3-4k. Probably $3500.
Refurbished to perfect $4-4,500.
N.O.S. in the box and confirmed PERFECT $4-5K
Over the years I have owned about a dozen sets. I still have 3 complete sets: 9+10x17, 8+9x17, and 8.5+10x19s.. and a several singles still sitting around. The only point being that I have a lot of experience buying/selling these.
