Weights

So I weighed the pistons by themselves. Have no clue if those are tolerable weight differences. Also the wrist pin clips were at the bottom of the box in there little plastic bag.

#1. 18.25 Oz OR 518 g
#2. 18.25 Oz OR 518 g
#3. 18.10 Oz OR 514 g
#4 18.05 Oz OR 513 g

Pistons and cylinders although I'm not sure why that would matter.

#1. 80.45 Oz OR 6274 g
#2. 81.50 Oz OR 6355 g
#3. 80.40 Oz OR 6272 g
#4. 80.25 Oz OR 6260 g

I also want folks to know that the pistons came out of the cylinders just as I would have expected BUT they were all dry. I suspect some of the old lube that was used when packaged new had stained some of the pistons VERY slightly. I hit them with some 3 in 1 oil and they cleaned right up. Figured that was also better than dry for more storage. Listen, I don't have a 356 anymore and to be honest I would love one but there just priced out my league these days. Sad really because I love them and have owned 3 years past. If somebody needs these for a rebuild let me know and I will consider all offers. I would rather they find a good home than just sit on them. Trades are also considered..... currently working on a 63 Ghia Vert.
