As bit of a purist, I did wrestle with keeping the original engine but in the end I decided to go for the conversion given the car is a high miles targa, the transmission is not original, and I plan on keeping it as a semi-daily driver. That and the prospect of having an extra 100 horses in the back "just in case" is quite appealing.
