My 77 911S

Hi all! 1st post, 1st 911.

Its pretty much the usual story. Growing up with 911´s on my walls. Education an family being the number one priority, pushing car dreams into the grown up years. I´m soon turning 47 and last fall finance and timing started to look good. Been looking for cars on and of for ever, but now I started with purpose. Found Pelican Parts and I´we been lurking a lot. Grate site! Anyhow. I was primarily looking for SC´s, as that seemed the most likely price point to find what I wanted. Wanted something fairly original. A solid, but not a showroom car. A car to be used regularly. And may be a few years ahead restore if needed. If somebody only a month ago told me I would end up with a 1977 2,7 911S, upgraded with 964 bumpers and 18" cup wheels I would... Not sure what I would have done, but I certainly would not have believed it. The 80´s cars have always been it. I was scared from the horror stories of mag cases and broken head studs on 2,7´s. But then this thing shows up. Price was good, all the original parts followed the car. All the right engine upgrades documented. Seemed like a solid and well looked after car so I went for it. Before seeing it in person I was set on bringing it back toward originality. But after piking it up, I love it as it is. Not changing anything just yet. Just going to drive it and enjoy it. That is, I have to wait about a month to do so. Its winter and I cant drive it home yet. So its parked in a friends garage 750 miles away. I look forward to that drive! It was raining when I picked her up and there is no heating in the car, so it got a bit steamy. Got to drive around for a couple of hours, and it was glorious
