I didn't realize the grips were off until I looked again. It's totally different than mine, not sure if it's stock for that year or aftermarket. Does it work off the left control pods 2 temp switch? I'd remove the sleeve & see if I couldn't modify the wiring & cut off the flange to install regular grips. Either that or find something super stretchy that could be coaxed over that flange & leave the heating element alone.
