I am running a low crossover....so I only want the deep bass sounds.

I don't run the subs in full range, they were not meant to do that (no voice coils). So covering with a my stock burgundy rug....works just fine.

If I turn the subs up.....the car shakes....more than my bed at nights...(LOL)....I had heard that the sony's did not last to long....but I was hoping not to run them at the max ...and hopefully they will last....

I want the subs to run 140-20 hz...in an ideal world...The nice thing is that they are away from the other speakers so there is not much frequency cancellation.....but frankly interior space (in a 944) does not allow for true bass reproduction, thus you get some serious sound shaking thru the whole car.......

I don't normally have my car hopping around ....from stereo......I drive a lot and I like drowning my thoughts in my music...... so I get good sound....without the whole car being ripped apart.

It is actually a top plate (MDF and plywood mix).....glued, screwed and tatooed....the inside of the wheel well is going to be sprayed with sound deading material.....it is all sealead...except for the opening where you can see the amplifier poking thru......

There is no true box, or any cutting of metal to get that into place.....
