well I do like powder coat. I think it's a great coating.. But I'm in a serious paint environment living in ocean air.. so I shoot urethanes for survival.. and the Por-15 led me to their clears a few years ago on my mag fan.. yeah, it's chipped.. but the finish still looks great as on bare mag..
So I have new intakes and want to clear them to keep the new look and Por has a newer 2 part clear for big bucks.. it's high gloss only and I may use some Dupont white polishing compound to break the gloss on the new WaterShields I shot today.. so this stuff remains somewhat flexable/but hard and chip proof.. and if I clunk the parts with a wrench I won't even pay attention.. So it's really how you need the paint to perform..
